Dr. William A. Selby

Dr. William A. Selby

“Dr. Will,” as he’s affectionately called, grew up in Carroll County, Maryland. As soon as Dr. Will could stand, he was fascinated with watching the neighbor’s horses out of his family’s living room window. When he was older, he would often walk to a farm down the road just to watch horses and how they interacted with one another. His love of horses grew from observation into working on a horse farm at the age of nine, becoming the farm manager by high school. This work led him to become a veterinary assistant at Carroll-Butler Veterinary Associates.  His experiences under the mentorship of Dr. Stan Carroll prompted Dr. Will to become a veterinarian.

Dr. Will holds degrees in B.Sc in Dairy Science and B.Sc in Equine Science from Virginia Tech, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. He has served the local community as an equine veterinarian since 2007. Dr. Will has a passion for sports medicine and helping clients make sure that their horses are performing at their best.

Dr. Kiana Selby

Dr. Kiana was born and raised in Oklahoma.  She was happiest outside and with critters, often found with her dog “Tippy” at her side. Dr. Kiana became interested in veterinary medicine in elementary school, and was hired at a local clinic at the age of thirteen. Life took some twists and turns, but she did not forget her dream of working with animals. It was while Dr. Kiana was working as a secretary at Oklahoma State University when her boss and the professors she worked with convinced her to re-enroll in college courses.  After several years, she applied to and was accepted into OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Will.  In 2007, Dr. Kiana graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and moved to the eastern panhandle of WV with Dr. Will.

Dr. Will and Dr. Kiana share their lives with their three amazing daughters, four dogs, four horses, five goats, three rabbits, ten chickens, and a pot belly pig. They enjoy horseback riding, spending time outside and watching the VT Hokies and OSU Cowboys football games.

Jessica

Jessica

Hi! My name is Jessica. I have been a Veterinary Assistant for 22 and 1/2 years.  I started in a small animal practice right out of high school and have stuck with it ever since.  Originally my dream was to be a human nurse but once I entered the veterinary field I knew I found my calling.

When I’m not working I spend my time with my husband and son. I currently have 2 cats and 2 dogs and have a love for chickens. I currently have a flock of 12 but would love to expand my flock at some point in the future.

Holly

Hello! My name is Holly. I have been working in the veterinary field for 9 years with a degree in veterinary technology. My favorite part of my job is being able to connect with both the patients and clients on a personal level.

Outside of work I love going on hikes with my German Shepherd and cozying up with my cats after a long day.

I have been an animal lover my whole life, but it’s only been the past 4 years that I’ve joined the field of veterinary medicine. I absolutely love it! I have 2 dogs (a Cockapoo who is very mellow & a younger Mini Golden Doodle, who we knick named “Hurricane”) & 2 cats (both strays). Ironically, the cats get along with both dogs, but the 2 cats do not get along which makes their living under the same roof challenging at times!  I grew up in Western Maryland but now live in Round Hill with my husband & 4 4-legged children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, neighbors & family (including my twin great nieces who were born Dec 2022), being outside in our pool or relaxing on our deck. I also enjoy working in our gardens & spending time with my fur babies. I love traveling to new places & seeing how other cultures live. I hope to make it to all of the National Parks out west one of these days to see the beauty here in our own country.
